consider, apology, distant
lady
consider an apology
for your distant mood,
it is unbecoming
for a lady to be
so rude.

writers island prompt
second chance
you give
so freely
of your love,
and get nothing
in return.
you forgive
the many sins
i've committed--
with love,
and grace,
and truth.
i deserve
so little,
and get
so much--
strength
and hope.
your love
is not conditional.
your heart
completes mine.
together, we
will make it,
through, this
life-- together.
you give
so freely
of your love,
and get nothing
in return.
you forgive
the many sins
i've committed--
with love,
and grace,
and truth.
i deserve
so little,
and get
so much--

and hope.

together, we
will make it,
through, this
life-- together.

Read, Write Poem prompt
sorrow
the day the sky was gray
my heart stopped beating
no longer would I have
control over my thoughts
the day the sky was gray
the day the sky was gray
the song stopped playing
and the world around us began.
a universe in which
only you and I exist--
the day the sky was gray
the day the sky was gray
our minds became one
our thoughts like the sun
shines on blades of grass
the day the sky was gray
the day the sky was gray
I began to drown
in a river of longing
for a time to be with you
the day the sky was gray
the day the sky was gray
my heart stopped beating
no longer would I have
control over my thoughts
the day the sky was gray
the day the sky was gray
the song stopped playing
and the world around us began.

3www writing promp, t-shirt, unravel, punch
this one was kind of hard, i'm really trying to stretch myself.
the world around me
has begun to unravel
into heaps of snow
covered emotions
from a heart only
covered by the thread
of a t-shirt--bare
the seams worn
from the years.
there's blooming
in the distance,
as the warm sun
rises, it will wake
me with a punch
to be alive...again.
the world around me
has begun to unravel
into heaps of snow
covered emotions
from a heart only
covered by the thread
of a t-shirt--bare
the seams worn
from the years.
there's blooming
in the distance,
as the warm sun
rises, it will wake
me with a punch
to be alive...again.

Read, Write Poem prompt
An Ode To Hands
big, small
old, young.
each one
has a story
to tell.
they flit
and they flutter,
they talk,
with no words.
lined with
every passing
year, each hand
can a speak a
million voices.
hard and callused
they tell the tale...
of a hard days work.
soft and smooth...
they show the many
pampered days.
each finger has
something to say.
whether ringed,
or tattooed,
painted, or chewed.
through the touch
of a hand, one can
tell a true loves heart.
hands, soft, familiar,
beautiful hands.
big, small
old, young.
each one
has a story
to tell.
they flit
and they flutter,
they talk,
with no words.
lined with
every passing
year, each hand

3ww writing prompt girlfriend, slight, imagine
i never imagined
losing a girlfriend
could be so painful.
i miss the long emails
the midnight phone calls
laughing at our jokes
even if they weren't funny,
watching movies,
playing games,
reading the same books,
sharing our music.
i felt the end nearing,
even the slight change in
your voice on the phone
told me it was going to end.
why must things change?
life is so short, yet
without you in it,
it seems forever long.
losing a girlfriend
could be so painful.
i miss the long emails
the midnight phone calls

another three word wednesday prompt
as she stood on the bridge
contemplating a life
never fully lived,
she wondered if there
was still hope for her.
would she be able to
turn this mess around,
change her world within.
she was disturbed by this,
that much was true.
but who was at fault for
her mistakes, did she do this
alone. or was there someone
to blame for all of her sadness.
alas, there was
only herself.

magic
she walks
through
the shadows
of her dreams
searching for
a truth,
a meaning
that only
one can give.
will she ever
know the meaning
of it all. the pain,
the undeniable pleasure
in each moment.
how will she find
a way out.
like alice falling
through the
rabbit hole
she searches
for an end,
the light,
something
to bring meaning
to it all. forever
she will wander alone,
helpless making
herself known.
if to noone but herself
she will discover.
through
the shadows
of her dreams
searching for
a truth,
a meaning
that only
one can give.
will she ever
know the meaning
of it all. the pain,
