as she stood on the bridge
contemplating a life
never fully lived,
she wondered if there
was still hope for her.
would she be able to
turn this mess around,
change her world within.
she was disturbed by this,
that much was true.
but who was at fault for
her mistakes, did she do this
alone. or was there someone
to blame for all of her sadness.
alas, there was
only herself.

I hope she realized there was hope for her. There is hope for everyone.
Interesting take on blame and disappointment. Nicely written!
In the end we are all responsible for our own happiness and sadness. Nicely done!
yep, who is to blame? a good ending...
Hope WILL bridge the gap! Different angle of the promt. Nice read!
The day we accept our responsibility, everything falls into place.
Introducing myself
another poem that leaves the reader hanging, I hope she found something she could hang onto at the end.
enjoyed!
contemplating a life
never fully lived,
love that
It's sad that people who take responsibility for messes or life etc are generally the most innocent
how perfectly encased in a beautiful story...
It's the hardest to realize there is only ourselves to blame. But good for her for taking responsibility.
"As long as there is life, there is hope."
Enjoyed this -- I loved the ending -- so firm, so sure, so solid. Looking inward...we all have to do that from time to time.
