3ww prompt: blurred, illegal, match

The words became blurred as she read the piece of paper in front of her. She could not believe her fate, how absolutely perfect it had turned out that the test results came back saying they were not a match. This could not have been better timing as their little rendezvous was everything but illegal in some states. It would have shattered both their worlds if the child were his, not to mention landed one of them in jail. Now if only she could figure out what to do next, she certainly wasn't old enough to bring a child into this godforsaken world. She would wait to see what her daily horoscope said, before she planned her final move.

I love the picture you've painted of her, someone with passion for life but a subtle cynicism... and driven by horoscopes! In addition to the paternity test results, I'd love it if she also had a personality test (something like Myers-Briggs) that showed she and he were not a match, too. Then you've got an intriguing, fun character you could build an entire novel around, with this as the starting point.

agree with PJD--and love people of any age who consult horoscopes

I loved this piece of writing and the glimpse of the character you have created, does leave one wanting to know more.

Yikes! She had relations with an older man, and it sounds like she's underage. A scary ride for a young woman.

I must admit, I can't believe people put so much in horoscopes - I tracked mine for about a six months - it was wrong everytime.

I hope she wisens up and finds someone more her own age, not to mention more cautious in her activities...

eww, Paisley, very creepy, I was thinking more along the lines of a teacher or some other authorative figure, but that is maybe too overdone??

I always read my horoscope... even if it's more wrong than right.
