3ww writing prompt

in this glass house
i feel exposed to
the world. i feel
pressure to conform
to the expectations
of society. i question
the validity of my feelings.
the token of your shame
i wear like a medal. i carry
it with me everywhere i
go. it is my cross to
bear, alone on this
voyage. i see no horizon,
just the dark gray sky ahead.

having just come thru the darkest patch i have ever experienced,, i know this feeling well.. and i am amazed how reading this doesn't not send me spiraling back to the depths...

you probably don't want to hear this... but this too shall pass......

these are such strong feelings, so painful, but beautifully expressed. i think they would touch anyone's heart.

Strangely enough, I've felt this way several times and later learned that I was heading into a new 'way' - one that wasn't yet visible, wasn't yet viable. Nice work!

I have no advice, no helpful words. All I can say is that this is very powerful.

It's true--very powerfully written

I have had many dark times, the one thing that always helped was writing--and forcing myself to laugh which sounds so trite and not helpful but does work

Darkness is so often indecision. Not knowing, other than knowing something must change.
When the knowledge comes, you get light.

absolutely dig the emotions in this one... the glass house hit home for thought is why that someone else' shame we wear at all.. is it that somehow we have a need to be connected to the shame.. some sorta responsibility and there is none...then why oh why can we not cut loose?..

Those feelings are all real and relatable. Feeling exposed, alone, ashamed, questioning ourselves.

Writing about it can help a little sometimes.
