a painful life is
parallel to a happy,
full life. one you live
out loud for all to see;
the other you hide inside
like it's not there. mysterious
ways become signs of danger to
those we love. growing ever, ever
so concerned. we think, "oh, they will
bounce out of it eventually." only to find
them one day in the bottom of a bottle of
sorrow where they have always kept a secret.

ouch, grim. Better to communicate than to keep it all inside.
I think it's normal for kids to go through angst and keep it from their parents--but it's the parents job to make sure it doesn't go further and that's the hardest balancing act of all
something to think over, two ways of living - what to keep inside and what to let out
Oh, there are many of us out there that keep it all inside! Nice work!
ever so true... i think acceptance not only of ones self,, but of the shortcomings of others is an important lessen,, often overlooked until it is too late.....
This is excellent Leigh. Wonderfully put.
A well put sorrowful post. visually, it reminded me of a slippery slope.
beautifully poetic... loved the 4mat 2....
thanks everyone, and anthony, that is exactly what i had in mind, when depression hits, you just keep spiraling downward.
This is powerful and true. I love the way you built the words and the shape of the words.
Great visuals!
