3ww writing prompt apartment began, numb

anew

her new life began.
today she moved in.
her apartment was
small, to say the least,
but it was hers alone.
in the city, the lights
danced in the night sky.
she could see the world
from her window. she
felt hopeful, maybe
the numbness would
finally go away.
she would finally
begin to feel again.

I so understand wanting to feel hopeful--and I remember too well the feeling of wanting to be alone--in an apartment of any size

Transition appears to be the theme of the day for most 3WW writers I've visited. The words really point that direction though, don't they?

When you're down, and you grasp hope, you know there's only one way to go.
Up!

It hasn't been all that long since I've felt that way.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I relate to this!

Can it get any worse than this?
